How should I store my medication?

Do not store your medication in the bathroom. Keep this medicine out of the reach of children. If the expiration date on the label has passed, contact your hospice nurse, and do not use that medication.

Oral tablets, capsules, suspension or solution, or topical patch, ointment, or jelly:  Store this medicine at room temperature, away from heat or light.

Suppository:  Store suppositories in the refrigerator to prevent them from sticking together. If the expiration date on the label has passed, contact your hospice nurse, and do not use that medication.

Topical gel:  Store this medicine at room temperature, away from heat or light. Discard any of the remaining, unused gel by squeezing the gel out of the foil pack into the toilet, flush the toilet, and throw out the packet.
